Project Background

Motivation

The development of 6G is based on the evolution of 5G, AI, microelectronics, and the Internet, which aims to connect the real world with virtual environments, offering intelligent and real-time solutions.

6G-OpenLab serves as a collaborative laboratory to design, test, and validate these innovations, fostering education and technology transfer towards a more connected future.

Objectives

5G+/6G testing platform

Create a large, open, and extensive 5G+/6G platform for developing and testing, which offers services to research groups, companies, the national and international scientific community, and administration.

Research and Innovation

Promote the research and innovation ecosystem and strengthen the business network.

6G knowledge

Generate knowledge in 6G by conducting our own research in collaboration with research groups from CCABA, UPC, and R&D groups from other universities, research centers, and companies.

Internationalize research

By cooperating and integrating with large national and European research infrastructures, such as ESFRI, and supporting national, European, and international R&D projects for researchers in 5G+/6G.
